Welcome! We are so glad you are considering stopping by.
Faith UB Church is located at 4700 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Port Orange Fl. You will enter our parking lot from Clyde Morris Blvd. just south of Willow Run. Guest and handicapped parking spaces are near each building entry. Our parking lot isn’t that big so please feel free to park in the grass anywhere there is room. Greeters will be standing at each door to welcome you to Faith UB and can direct you to the Sanctuary how to get to our fellowship Hall.
FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN
We encourage families with children (infant through K-4) to take advantage of our nursery program. You can drop them off in the nursery room that is located in the fellowship hall. Upon request one of our greeters will walk you there so you’ll know right where it is. Children in grades Kindergarten-5 can come right into the Sanctuary. We believe in having our little ones join us for worship to help get them used to being in “big” Church. After the music they will be invited to come to the front for a short children’s message. After that they will be taken to our children’s church room found in our fellowship hall for the duration of the service. We believe that what we do in the children's ministries is extremely important and we take our ministry with your children seriously, striving to provide quality programming for them that is not only fun, but transforming!
WORSHIP SERVICE
We offer 2 services at Faith UB. A traditional service at 9am and a contemporary service at 10:30am.
At the 9am service we start with an opening prayer followed by three hymns accompanied by the piano and organ. After that we take up our tithe and offerings and have a time of announcements to make sure everyone knows what is happening in the upcoming week. When the announcements are over we move to the message or sermon portion. This starts with everyone standing and reciting our theme verse for the year. This is a verse of scripture that all of our messages for the year will tie into. This year our theme is Be A Disciple and our theme verse is Matthew 28:19-20. After the conclusion of our message we pray and the congregation is dismissed (usually around 9:50am).
At the 10:30am service we start with a prayer for 3 other UB Churches, by name, throughout the United States. These are specific prayer requests that each Church has asked us to pray for. After that we allow for a greeting time to give others in the Church a quick chance to get to know who you are and introduce themselves. It’s about a 1 minute greeting time as we start the first set of music. We typically sing 3 worship songs that you would probably hear on Christian radio accompanied by guitars, drums, bass, and percussions. Directly following the first set of music we take up our tithe and offerings. Once that is finished we have a time of announcements to make sure everyone knows what is happening in the upcoming week. When the announcements are over we move to the children’s message. This is a brief object lesson geared to our K-5th grade students to help them learn a Biblical truth. The children are then dismissed to go to Children’s Church in the Children’s Church room located in our fellowship hall. When the children have left we celebrate Holy communion. This is done in a manner known as intinction. This is where you take a piece of bread and dip it into some grape juice and then eat the bread. You do not have to be a member of our Church to celebrate Holy Communion with us. Now it’s time for our message or sermon. This starts with everyone standing and reciting our theme verse for the year. This is a verse of scripture that all of our messages for the year will tie into. This year our theme is Be A Disciple and our theme verse is Matthew 28:19-20. After the conclusion of our message we close the service with 2 more songs and allow time for anyone who feels lead to do so to pray. when the music is finished we conclude our service with a benediction (some closing remarks that inspire you to application of the message) and then the congregation is dismissed (usually around 12:00pm).
